It's probably nothing.

But honestly I am surprised about how long we have been relatively "healthy". Especially with our overpopulation. Outbrakes of shit is mostly enclosed but never kills a population off.

So who cares if a new parasite turns up? Especially if it attacks the brain. Of all the pathogens, a parasite that alters behavior is the worst fucking choice to kill off humans. We notice it immediately, we do not (okay rarely) commit cannibalism, testing for parasites is difficult but not impossible and as far as I understand it parasites are quite easy to kill off, since mutation rates are laughable.

This is just overhyped "muh zombocolypse".
