math pleb here, can someone explain to me
4^x=8?2
the answer is 7/4, but i keep getting
(2^2)^x=(2^3)(2^(1/2))
2x=3(1/2)
x=3/4

you add the exponents on the right instead of multiply them. 3 + (1/2) =7/2
