I don't think it's going to be shit, if we get some smaller Prowess creatures. It would pair nicely with Strive cards like Launch the Fleet, for instance, or most any other mass pump instant. Overruning your Prowess creatures seems like pure value.

they really need a 1 cmc prowess flyer and a 2 cmc prowess creature with evasion. Then maybe some kind of U/R burn deck would work.

What do you guys think about building a deck around Warden of the Beyond? With enough exile effects, he's basically a 4/4 vigilance guy for 3 cmc all the time. There's seriously so much exile in standard atm: NV Specter, Lifebane Zombie, Banishing light, Brain Maggot, Sin Collector, Banisher Priest, Chained to the Rocks etc

Interesting. Hadn't even really considered blue. I was originally thinking of doing something with constellation and exiling enchantment stuff like maggots and b-light, but there's nothing really exciting in b or w when it comes to constellation, except maybe Coinsmith and mixing in lifegain stuff (like pridemate, obzedat, blood baron, archangel, ram) but then the deck would probably be trying to do too many things at the same time. Not sure how I feel about Hour of Need though.

It's always possible. New set is about to start being spoiled. When it's released and people start creating good decks, netdeck a tier 1 deck and start crushing tournaments. In the meantime download cockatrice, magic workstation or sign up for tappedout and make decks/ play games to learn the basic

Yes. It would be very difficult to play at the professional level and would require a lot of time and effort. To beat up on FNM or Dailies wouldn't be easy, but a dedicated player could get to that level in a few months.

It runs Brimaz for beats and dudes in order to protect myself, along with Spear, Banishing Light and Dissolve as removal/defences. It has lots of little interactions and synergies. Brimaz + Spear and Heliod/Brimaz + Ephara are my main ones. Considering how slow the meta currently is looking I think it'll stand up pretty well and there is plenty of side hate in case Mardu end up actually being good.

I've never made or played a BUG deck before.

However, seeing as the Sultai are 1.) The black focused clan and 2.) Baller as fuck snake people, I thought I'd give it a whirl.

What is the basic philosophy behind the BUG archetype? Does it use blue and black for disruption/card draw, and green for ramp/primary threats?

What should be the focus of a deck and what cards should I be thinking about for post-rotation?

Maybe I've a tiny meta here in Ireland, but I play Junk to screw over more than half the people playing standard in my FLGS, seeing as they're all committed to playing some mono-B variant, and it's delicious.

Even the people "Floch"ing to Ivan Floch's UW Control deck are getting shafted by my deck thanks to Voice of Resurgence.

I will say though, I'm interested in seeing how Theros stands on it's own two feet supporting the new standard format.

Buy an intro pack and go for there, so at least you'll have some lands. Go buying boosters and playing in drafts as you learn to play. No point in trying to assemble a killer deck without starting a proper collection first, so focus on learning how to play and acquiring terrains.

Rate my stupid deck idea. The plan is pretty much "swarm the board, stop them from blocking". Took this list to a spin today and won most games:

4x Foundry Street Denizen
4x Satyr Hoplite
4x Borderland Marauder
2x Frenzied Goblin
2x Altac Bloodseeker
3x Impetuous Sunchaser
1x Nyxborn Rollicker
3x Infernal Fist
1x Lightning Strike
3x Hammerhand
4x Rouse the Mob
2x Thunderous Might
4x Satyr Rambler
1x Chandra, Pyromaster

This is an extremely rough initial draft of the deck, made with the scraps I had on my collection. What I plan on adding is the full playset of Lightning Strike, one more Chandra, one more Sunchaser, one more Infernal Fist and, above everything else, two Frenzied Goblin and one hammerhand to finish the playsets.

So the final list would be closer to:

4x Foundry Street Denizen
4x Satyr Hoplite
4x Borderland Marauder
4x Frenzied Goblin
4x Impetuous Sunchaser
4x Infernal Fist
4x Lightning Strike
4x Hammerhand
3x Rouse the Mob
2x Thunderous Might
2x Chandra, Pyromaster

And possibly 21 lands (running 22 on the current list)

What do you guys think? How can it be improved (specially as cheap as possible)?

The deck is pretty budgety so far, so Scuttling Doom Engine is a bit above what I plan to. Also it's fucking six mana, I rarely have access to fucking six mana.

I do plan on gather at least two Engines - got 1 already - for my shitty U/R Artifacts deck

And agreed with Mardu (though I also think Raid is shit), but I also want to see what the GBW clan will bring. I liked their style.

Not really excited for Khans because I'm a mainly Red, White and occasionally green player, don't like black that much and utterly despise Blue. So I'll have to settle on having Black on my decks apparently.
