What is your position on outdated costs on units?

I'm an armored company player and I'm kind of in a bind.

I don't want to be seen as "that guy" because I'm taking units that have been made more expensive and such, but the codex still uses the old points costs.

It works both ways, some things are more expensive that current, some things are cheaper than current.

I don't want to arbitrarily move points costs around.

Houserule it. Ask the other player(s) if it's cool and if not what's something you both agree to.

My position is tough shit, play with the new AM codex or play with your outdated list there's no middle ground. If I wanted to play a Vraks list using the AM codex I'd be called out as TFG for trying to get battle brother guardsmen in 7th for my chaos army.

Unbound lists are a thing now, just make your armoured company using that.

Well, I don't mind taking the bad by using the AC codex. Leman Russes are more expensive across the board, and no access to sweet new orders and IC But I'm wary that people will call TFG on me because of the "good" things.

Mostly the cheaper Vendettas and Chimeras.

>>32358926
Also I'm only using the points costs for Vendettas, I'm not actually doing anything that is disallowed by current rules for the chimera/vendetta in regards to transport limits and weapons that can fire out of a chimera

But tech wasn't TOO good as to make that shit instantly worthless.
See: Tank destroyers, which were abandoned pretty quickly after the war.

Armored Company doesn't exist. If you're talking about Armored Battle Group, you use the points listed in your codex, even if they're outdated. Unless the book calls for you to use them from Codex: IG then you would use the new points from Codex: AM.

It's a wash because while your shit is cheaper, you also do not get the new buffs that generic AM got.

Better comparison would be this heap.
>tractor chassis and engine
>corrugated sheet metal armour
>fits 8 men, barely
>7 BREN lmgs mounted pretty much anywhere
>one guy actually had to lay on a mattress to fire his
>all impossible to aim accurately
>has to stop to change gears
>very slow when everyone was in
>liked to overheat and pump smoke into the main hull, meaning everyone had to get the fuck out or die from carbon monoxide poisoning

Probably the orkiest thing ever conceived.

If it falls, the gun barrels prop it up enough for you to squeeze a couple privates in to give it the old heave-ho.
