/Pokemon/ Figures and Toys Anonymous 07/14/14(Mon)13:49 UTC+1 No.4285170 Report

Looking to buy some of the Tomy Pokemon figures so I can have my ingame team in /toy/ form. How are they in terms of quality?

Also, I was able to find Sceptile, Empoleon but having trouble finding an Ampharos figure. I'm not even sure Tomy has produced a figure for him, so what are some alternatives that would go well with the rest?

Also, just random discussion about Pokemon toys, showing off collections, quality, etc.

For Ampharos, I doubt there's been anything besides the Monster Collection figures. I'm pretty sure Mega Ampharos is also coming soon in that line.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I guess I could wait for the Mega Ampharos, but I prefer the original design.

So far, I can't find an online seller that is selling it though.

HLJ is pretty good about listing MonColle stuff. Even the backordered items can usually be wrangled within a couple of weeks. I got Greninja just the other day, actually. Beyond that, your best bet is probably eBay of all places - just watch out for bootlegs (although the bootlegs are usually hilariously obvious).

I was just about to make a Poke Merch thread since mines die on /vp/
I seen people trying to every single Pokemon Rumble figure, I'm almost there on getting them all.
When I first try to get my hands on them, they were all sold out at gamestop, lucky for me, someone on craige's list was selling them for $20 bucks.
I been trying to get more of them on eBay but they are pricy as hell, from $30 to $60 each, even over $100 bucks for a shiny figure. Good thing I got all the shiny ones cheap.

The Monster Collection Ampharos only had one release back in Gen II, so it's very expensive. The Zukan is pre-BW so it's expensive too. The only other thing I can think of is this, but it's a year old candy toy so I doubt anyone is still selling it.

Wow, I'm surprised someone saved my display. Thanks man!

Anyways, I've added a few more figures to the display. I personally think the D-Arts figures are a must. The Zukan figures are also great, but pretty small. The Pokeballs are from the old Burgerking Pokemon promotions back in the late 90's. There are some pretty good figures coming out under the Takara line at TrU, and even some of the old Jaks Pacific stuff is decent (Blaziken, Kyurem, Reshiram, etc.). Oh, and I obviously framed a bunch of the holocards from the TCG.

My only real advice is to invest in risers. A bunch of little figures standing behind each other won't look goo.

There was a figure released that wasn't intentionally shiny, but the color scheme made it out to be shiny. Can't recall which Pokemon it was or what the figure was.

Shiny legendary trio beasts got some merchandise as well (pic related).

There are shiny Pokemon Rumble U figures from the little mystery pokeball packs.

Also some chibi figures had some shiny Pokemon thrown in once in a while. I can't recall the name of the figures, but they were very small and had a chibi look to them. They produced a lot of those and had a few waves with shinies in them.

I'm sure there's even more than this.

No, but seeing all those rumble figure pics in the other threads made me want to finish my collection. Alot of people been trying to get them all, since their really rare.
I was only missing a few, but their like $15-$20-$30 each online, everywhere.
I was missing about ten of them and said fuck it, this is my only chance to get them all and cheap believe it or not.
Finally feel-good to have them all.
Now I can wait to get all the Amiibos, since these little pokemon rumble figures are the first Amiibo, that what makes them so rare.
>>4304376
If I could get them at again game stop for $3 apiece, I would. But these little NFC are worth a hell of a lot of money, and on eBay, for a lot like this one goes for $600-$900 bucks or more if they have a shiny with it, and the ball it came in, I hit "buy it now" when I saw it pop up on new listing, even my girlfriend was yelling at me to get it.
With the extras I get from this, I can make my money back by selling groups of three or four for $40-50 each.
After this, I don't think I'll be buying another pokemon figure for a while, or untill next pay-check.

I thought about getting some when they came out, didn't have a Wii u or anything, but I liked the style.
Passed that up, wanted them again when I saw a post about them on here, checked prices, Jesus Christ they got expensive.
I can't rationalize getting the set for such a high price if I don't even have the tool to use them.
I'm thinking about getting all the Smash bros amiibos when they cone out, but I highly doubt they'll disappear and shoot up like the Pokemon did.

All I got was 5 of them, and two of them broke, and I sold the rest.
They are very easy to break, the stand that they come on isn't very strong, and now I wish I didn't use them for Pokemon Rumble U, the game isn't that fun, and with out the NFC, it's boring. I sold Mew, Mewtwo, and Pikachu on eBay, starting at $30 bucks, and it jump's to $72, it was easy money, but now I wish I kept them.
I wonder if I can glue the broken Darkri and Black Kyurem back on their stand, but I need a clear glue.

My bet is she disposed of them/destroyed them, back in those days parents and teacher groups were all up in arms against Pokemon when it was at the height of popularity.

Christian groups egging them on didn't help either. My mom almost bought into that shit once, but dad managed to put some sense into her. Had he not I'd be left without my collection of Pokemon cards and figurines.
