Any Arizonafags know where I can find a toy/anime/hobby shop that sells imports, especially in the Phoenix area?

There is a deadliest catch toy store by downtown. You should check it out. Heard there was a good sale going on, buy 5 crabs and get a free deckhand.

Online. But they'll get confiscated by the police for being unamerican. I'd recommend moving if you're considering collecting.

There are a few. There is All for anime in the Metrocenter mall ( I think that is still there). They have a small selection tough. There is also there is the AZ collectors marketplace. They have a few import dealers there but expect to pay highly for items.

Really the only thing I know of is in Metro Center like >>4236535 said and some comic book shops (Samurai Comics, Hero Comics) but the comic place's anime stuff is limited.

Check places like bookmans too. They MIGHT (I stress MIGHT very much) have random japanese imports and such. I remember there being a Japanese imported SF4 Sakura at the bookmans I went to a week ago and some random figures in the back along with manga and anime and such.

Oh I also forgot, Pop Culture Paradise near the tempe campus might have some stuff there.

btw, anyone who's interested in Gunpla go to ASU downtown?
Are there any gunpla communities in AZ at all?

There's honestly just not a lot here, you have to wait for the cons to roll around before you can expect a good showing. Is was at the Phoenix Comic Con and there was loads of imports for good prices, but when you factor in cost of admission you'd need to be buying like $400 worth of stuff before you can start to get a better deal than online.

I go to Pop Culture Paradise for my comics and they have a fairly limited Japanese import selection. they sometimes get stuff but not too often. They have mostly Marvel Selects DC Collectibles and various statues. Good comic shop though.

im a huge gunpla nerd in az. there are some places to buy gunpla.

theres a hobby shop on southern and mill that sells gunpla, but they are a little picked over post comicon so might have to wait a month as they restock slow.

AZ collectors marketplace has a dude against the back left corner that stocks a good selection of gunpla, but the pricing is a huge crapshoot. sometimes its about online+shipping, sometimes (full armor RX-0 MG for $140) its a lil insane. The dude constantly talks up how hes got a big reorder "just around the corner" but he never seems to swap out his existing stock till it sells.

Really, modelgrade/robot4less are your best bet for gunpla.

as for animu toys, same dude at collectors also has a good selection of figmas and statue shit and a couple of the other vendors have some. your best bet for that stuff though is to just hit up sabotencon when it rolls around, or again, online that shit.
