Saw these things at a record store the other day (way overpriced, $37.99 each) but they see like decent quality though not as detailed as your typical McFarlane figure. I found them online for above $15-19 each but shipping varied a lot (not in the US) which seemed like an ok price?

any thoughts on these figures, or funko products in general? I stopped collecting years ago but wanted to pick up a couple of these. Do you think they'll go on sale or anything?

The likeness for Dany and Snow are pretty off.
Tyrion's is pretty decent though.

Got jon and tyrion and they are pretty nice. Nice quality and articulation. No complaints

Yeah Dany looks the worst but I thought the Hound was really good.
The articulation was a big selling point for me too.

Picked up the hound yesterday haven't opened him yet.

Gonna pose him w/my Winchester Two-pack.
Excited for series 2, s'got Brienne, Jaime, Rob, Dolph Lundgren, another Dany, and Arya.
Who I want to go with my my hound.

They fragile as dried out shit. If you get em keep them sealed. Their joints are made of rigid clear plastic and some will be stuck because of the paint. If you do decide to display them be very careful.
Anonymous 06/16/14(Mon)06:49 UTC+1 No.4231376 Report

I have never purchased a figure with more stuck joints out of the box as my Hound. 9 different joints were completely frozen. Took me over an hour with hot water and crazy patience but I got them all unstuck.

That behind me, he is one of my favorite figures of the year this far. Totally badass fighting Link. I almost army built him but decided against it

The sick thing of it is, I had a bad experience with series 1(bought Ned and Dany, and the toxic waste stench coming off of them lingered so long and was so pervasive I had to throw them out) but I really want those Brienne and Arya figures and will probably try again, hoping that funko learned it's lessons.

Tyrion looks more like Theon Greyjoy than Peter Dinklage.

Do these exist in singapore yet? I know they have borders there.

Yep, fresh out of the box.

What is a good site to order off for people in Canada? The few places I found with decently priced figures had shipping costs of over $15 and the cheapest I could find after shipping with the regular priced figures was about $35 with most around $40.

Should I just wait and see if they come to toys r us in Canada?

I was thinking about getting Jon Snow and then buying a wolf separately but I don't know where to find generic animal figurines.
Anonymous 06/16/14(Mon)20:44 UTC+1 No.4232144 Report

I like how the paint apps make it look as if he was literally eating shit. Messily.

>throw them out

Like in the trash?

Are Drogo and Daenerys cast off and anatomically accurate enough to pose them together properly?
Anonymous 06/17/14(Tue)04:02 UTC+1 No.4232776 Report

Holy shit do NOT pay 37 a piece for these. Less than 20, 20 MAX, they just aren't worth it.

I'd relaly keep them sealed too. I have Jon, Ned, and Tyrion. Want to get the other half of the 1st wave just to complete it. I have Ned and Tryion open but I display them in the box, left Jon sealed (I bought the other 2 open, but the seller thankfully sent the box).

-I don't feel like they're that fragile, the ones I've messed with seem pretty solid.
-The reasl reason to keep them sealed? Holy shit the smell. They REEK of chemical/plastic smell. I set Ned on my desk for a while and I could smell his ass (with head attached) from almost a foot away. I'm not sure why these smell so badly but.. Shit.
-The paint is really hit and miss. The armor and stuff looks spot on but sometimes the faces are meh, the beards on the dudes look like they have shit smeared on their face. (Thank god the Hound comes with a concealing helmet.)
-My biggest bitch on these is that Ithink all the sculpts are really off. Tyrion is the closest imo, then Jon, the rest are just a crapshoot. Ned pisses me off because he's a great character and it looks nothing like Sean Bean.

I have high hopes for the next wave after all the bitching everyone has laid down on the first wave. I really hope Arya's sculpt improves because....what the fuck. Same with Jaime, he looks like Prince Charming form fuckin Shrek.

Yeah. Seriously they were stinking up my whole apartment. Felt like they were giving me cancer.
Anonymous 06/17/14(Tue)04:36 UTC+1 No.4232823 Report

You could have returned them, dude.
Anonymous 06/17/14(Tue)04:37 UTC+1 No.4232826 Report

Had them a couple of months, I was expecting the smell to go away.

My thoughts exactly!

The hound looks perfect though.

Of the series 2 ones, Robb and Jamie are spot on.
