So I got him despite all the revo hate & figma mgs2 snake coming soon. I kind of like him & can't wait for gray fox.

Not sure how I feel about mine.

I'm glad he came with two cigarettes, I lost one already (found it though). If mine falls over while holding the cig it's just about a sure thing it's gonna come out and roll somewhere. I am going to put some Future on it to prevent it from coming out so easily.

Not at the moment, no. I mean, there's always a chance that they might put Yamaguchi back on 1/12 someday, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that anytime in the near future. They seem to be going pretty deep on this Mini line.

>>4323185
I was all about to complain mine didn't come with two cigs, then I picked up the blister and felt a baggie underneath. Had the stand arm and a spare cigarette, neat. On the downside, I fumbled the blister when putting it back down and everything bounced out and into my thick carpeting. Thankfully, I think I found everything.

>>4323265
In case you want more than just photos, I posted some impressions here: >>4321407. Also, here are some other observations I've made after playing with it some more. His ab crunch seems very limited. Revos were usually known for pretty deep ab crunches, but Snake has a little bit of forward-and-back movement and the ability to swivel. I wish they'd done a double balljoint ab crunch with a soft plastic ab area. Be really careful with his cigarette-holding hand too. I had assumed it was just wedged between two fingers, but they actually drilled a hole for it, and the plastic gets alarmingly thin towards the edge. If you accidentally snap off that little plastic spur you might find it more difficult for him to hold his smoke. It's a fun figure overall and I keep picking it up to fiddle with it. I'm not down with the price increases that seem to be happening already, but quality-wise the line has won me over.

I just received mine as well. Here are some of my impressions for anybody who cares to hear them:

I don't normally care about these things but I actually like the revo mini packaging. The hot pink on black looks nice and I think the array of pictures on the back showing different poses is really nice. Snake is himself is nice. I think I like his bandana being sculpted onto his head instead of it being a separate piece like it is with big boss. While it doesn't turn, it also doesn't feel so damn fragile. The range of motion in his shoulders isn't as good as big boss, mostly due to solid snake’s armor pads. It makes positioning his arm across the torso practically impossible. On the other hand, I like his hip joints and how the straps help hide the gap in dynamic poses. And this snake is pretty damn good at pulling off great looking poses given his scale, I’m very impressed. I also like the inclusion of the small circular base, but don't really understand why it comes with a normal sized revo stand. The thing is too big and just looks silly next to snake. It doesn't come with any instructions which isn't really a problem but I like the assurance that I'm not going to do something wrong and break the toy. Overall I really like this snake. I would've preferred the same figure in a 1/12 scale, but if this is all I can get I'll take it. I know a lot of people complain about the pricing of the minis, but I think it’s a fair deal (if you don't include shipping) after having him in hand.

Nevermind that he's about twice as thick in the legs, arms, and torso.
Yet, somehow the head is the same size as GI Joes. Fucking Yamaguchi.

IS the gun also oversized like the first Revoltech Snake? Because that pistol looks hueger than the .50cal Deagle compared to the Snake figure.
>>
Gravon 07/31/14(Thu)03:16 UTC+1 No.4324821 Report

It some how gets smaller when in the holster too and snake's torso does not get much straighter than that because they used a racheted revo joint in there

>>4324821
>snake's torso does not get much straighter than that because they used a racheted revo joint in there
Wrong on both counts. Snake's torso DOES get straighter than that (mine is currently so straight it looks like he's arching his back slightly, even), and the joint in his torso does NOT ratchet. There isn't a single ratcheting joint anywhere on the figure.
>>
Anonymous 07/31/14(Thu)03:22 UTC+1 No.4324833 Report

>>4324821
Then you need to fiddle with the joint on yours a little because I can get him posed with his back perfectly straight.

>>
Anonymous 07/31/14(Thu)03:26 UTC+1 No.4324845 Report

>>4324841
You probably broke a seal of sticky paint or something similar inside the figure if it was your first time moving it. Mine made a similar noise the first time, and then nothing after that. Pulling him apart at the torso confirms it, the joint does not ratchet.

GI Joe guns are closer in scale than the guns that come with him, but judging by the size of those guns and the hands, they might not fit. They'll likely be extremely loose, if he can hold them at all.

There are a few guns that are actually oversized for GI Joes and would fit in with the mini-Snake, but there's like 3 of them AFAIK. The P90 that came with Wraith. The Uzi that comes with the Iron Grenadier. An AUG that comes with RoC Cobra Commander scientist figure that's the base body for that Psycho Mantis.

pic isn't the ones I'm talking about, just a cool gun.

What oversized airsoft gun were you holding?

Pistols firing .45 bullets aren't going to be as huge as that hand cannon Revoltech mini-Snake is holding.

Oh man, they want to keep the length the same for a pistol? I AM SHOCKED.
OF course, the Deagle is much thicker and wider than a puny .45 gun, because it's firing a larger more powerful round.

OF course, you're still ignoring the part about the MK24 Mini-Snake is holding is still much larger than a Deagle.

It's a fair comparison because I'm not even looking at the overall length. It's the whole thickness where it appears like he's firing a shotgun slug or even grenade rounds out of something modeled after the mk24.

It's the whole insinuation when i called the real life thing as "slim"

But yeah, length is also ridiculous too.
