So do these fall into this board or /v/ or both? They look pretty great for what they are.

Abit of both. They're figurines so /toy/ but it's for a game so /v/. Can go on both tho I think we have a thread already for these.

/v/ since they are video game accessories and are not actual toys.

They fall into the trash

They are allowed here since skylanders and Disney infinity is allowed. I just hope the community isn't crap like those

They're collectible figurines, so yeah, they're toys. I'm buying them just to have SOMETHING of Fox goddamnit.

we got a decent looking Marth figure, but it's tiny and inarticulate.

Once I saw these figures, I stop buying all Nintendo related toys, just to save up for this.
I want them all.
I'm not going to miss out on these, like I did with the Pokemon Rumble Figures, which was sold out in every gamestop.
I was only able to get a few of them, and I just got lucky on ebay with someone selling a Mewtwo, an Eevee, and a Shiny Eevee all together, which I will get in the mail soon.

also, I forgot to say that these figures can go up to $50-$100 bucks, sometimes for just one.
You be lucky to get any at a fair price.
I think, the only reason why their rare, is because they're Nintendo's first Amiibos, well at lest their first shot at NFC figures

>>4232748
Yes, and they only made 3 of them, which makes them really rare, and very pricey
They're
>Pikachu
>Eevee
>Genesect
You can find them on ebay, but people there are jewing them very overprice. You're lucky to find one for $20 bucks, which I did for the Eevee, who was selling it with a bunch of other pokemon figures. The guy didn't know what he had.

Only of Genesect, Pikachu and Eevee. Didn't actually know about the latter two until today. My "collection" of them isn't impressive at the moment, merely normal Eevee and Jirachi. Never even got the game!

I don't even game, but I just like how the figures look. I heard it's more fun with figures and now that I'm getting Mewtwo I have a reason to play the game.
after this, I'm going to stop looking for more, I almost paid $50 dollars for a set that had all 5 Genesect with different drive disk attacks, and one of them were shiny. The set was for the Mewtwo vs. Genesect movie, and that bid went over $500 dollars.
If Nintendo starts making rare Amiibos, I can see something like that happening again.
My god, what if Nintendo makes Amiibo only unlockable fighters...how much would people pay for a Reily figure, so he can be playable.

They "plan" on making the whole roster and figures for other games, what we see could just be the first wave or two of SSB.

Well, I guess I'll get Peach and maybe Fit-Sensei from this batch. But that depends entirely on how expensive they are. When do they even release?
>>
Anonymous 06/18/14(Wed)19:39 UTC+1 No.4235722 Report

I might pick some of these up depending on the price and how well they are painted. I love Yoshi's "haters gonna hate" walk

I assume if they're doing luigi they're doing figuarts of all the playables in 3D world.
Plus, if we get a zelda figma, I assume it would be ALBTW zelda. Unless figma picks up hyrule warriors for figmas too.
In which case we get Scarf Link, I hope.

A toy doesn't need articulation. Rubber dinosaurs, building blocks, balls, etc. are toys but have no moving parts.
Other things can be toys like toilet paper rolls, paper clips, etc. but they aren't marketed as such.
These are plastic, a cheap material (not resin, gypsum, etc), and marketed to children. The only thing is that they don't look sturdy enough for play like Skylanders are (many are being supported by very thin rods).
