I always want to go there.
This year I was planning to go with some friends, but the civil war started in the country.

I went there last year. No big stories to tell or anything, it's what you would expect. Though it's still quite intense even when you know what's coming.

Anonymous 07/30/14(Wed)10:15 UTC+1 No.880768 Report

I went last October. 2 day tour, stayed in the Exclusion Zones' only hotel (half-star). Going into the buildings is illegal and I think most companies oblige that but mine didn't. We just stayed out of the guards' field of vision. Went to the roof of one of the apartment buildings, found a dead dog inside. Snagged a cool magazine clipping from an old Pravda or something in an elementary school, now framed on my desk.

As said earlier, no big stories but it's pretty cool nonetheless. I'd shell for the 2 days if you're that interested, especially if you're a photographer.

I live in Taiwan, I am probably closer to the fukashima exclusion point, if Japan's government would ever tell the fucking truth.

Yeah sure it's safe. Tell that to the 200 passengers of the plane that crashed.

Do you remember what the name of the company you booked with was? I'd want to go inside buildings if I went.

And you probably shouldn't have taken the magazine clipping because radiation likes to cling and soak up into soft materials like papers, moss, soils, cushions, etc. Over time radiation can do very harmful things to your body and if it's so close as to being on your desk then that can't be good at all. Just some tips

Not that guy, but I just booked with the first one that comes up when you search for Chernobyl tours (SoloEast). I went for a group day trip, but they do also have 2 day ones and private ones. On our tour, we went inside one building, it was the sports complex with the swimming pool.

actually they dont crash, as they are in pieces before they fall to the ground. A crash implies the plane ran into the ground or something else. This plane fell to the ground in pieces. lots and lots of pieces.

No it doesn't, a crash is what happens when a plane hits the ground without landing properly. Here a missile exploded beside it sending shrapnel through the hull and it crashed because of the structural damage and explosive decompression.

I don't think anyone believes that "separatists" shot the plane down. Rather, it was obviously Russian military personnel. Because only an idiot believes that there are more than a few dozen "separatists" running around; most are Russian military, including Igor "Comrade Strelkov" Girkin, the "former" Russian FSB (formerly "KGB") officer who has fought for Russia in Transnistria and elsewhere before now leading the "Ukrainian separatists".

Of course, you could simply be a complete retard rather than yet another Russian seventeen-ruble troll army poster, but my guess is that you're in Putin's pay.

Just go back to the Russia Today comment sections, you silly contrarian shill.

Putin is very much an accessory to the turmoil in Ukraine. I don't think things have gone exactly how he expected (a mass uprising in eastern Ukraine has not materialized AT. ALL. because there was no great Russian/Ukrainian-speaker ethnic tension, try as he might to exploit that -- most just want the Russkies to fuck off so they can continue with their already bleak lives).

It's alright. It was pretty warm when I was there, it's a 2-3 hours drive from Kiev. People actually still work at the reactor. It's pretty impressive to see the old Soviet carnival.

A friend of mine travelled through Ukraine this summer, only the east is fucked up, for the rest the country is still up and running.

The Ukraine is Russian territory, Crimea especially. Protest as much as you want, faggots, but at the end of the day the Ukraine belongs to Russia and always will. Just as Palestine belongs to Israel.

Get over yourselves and go back to whining about things you have no say over.

0/10. Way too obvious.

It doesn't matter anyway because at the end of the day Russia belongs to USA and always will.

But even that doesn't matter anyway because at the end of the day USA belongs to the Elders of Zion and always will.

But even THAT doesn't matter because the Elders of Zion belong to the Lizard People and always will. Just as Zebulonia IIIa belongs to the Greys.
