Welp... Now what? Robert Zimmerman 06/29/14(Sun)20:48 UTC+1 No.865956 Report

So I just got back to the US about a month ago after teaching abroad in Daegu, Korea for a year. My contract ended March 1, 2014 and my girlfriend and I traveled from Korea to Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, Alicante, London, and then back to France before we parted ways (now doing semi-long distance).

Anyway, what are some ideas or suggestions to get back out into the world again? I got a job in instituional software sales and it's alright, but I miss my girlfriend and I don't think I'm cut out for the office life.

Thanks!

Sounds pretty normalfag to me, and that's what it seems like you want.

Make a list of shit you want to do and find out how to do it. Seems like what your asking to be told.

you can get an office job near where your girlfriend is and advance your career as normal until you figure out what you really want.

If you want to get out into traveling again you could try joining the military as an officer. They (often) have more free time than they need, and if you're serious about your girl you get tons of benefits.

If you're far along enough into your career you could ask for a transfer to a hardship location at some point, say, malaysia and thailand are both up and coming places where on a normal salary you'll be living far better than in america.

If you want to feel like you're not giving up and finally turning old these seem like the most rational solutions.

You could consider getting a masters in europe too. It's cheap as fuck at the moment.

I'm going to Daegu to study there for a year. Haven't visited there before, only Seoul and Pusan. How is it? Can it compete with Seoul when it comes to interesting stuff?
