hey /trv/ looking for some recommendations for a relevantly cheap weekend/week trip inside Europe for me and my girlfriend sometime in winter travelling from the north east of England. We'd love too see sights eg museums, art galleries, architecture but also somewhere romantic with nice food and drink. My first time going abroad and I've been tasked with organising the whole affair and frankly I have no idea what I'm doing.
TLDR: guy who's never been abroad wants too know a relativly cheap place to travel in Europe for a romantic holiday
Thanks in advance

Define "cheap".

Also I would look every now and then in flight websites (there are many in the sticky) and look for deals to places that may ineterst you, since airfare is usually a big part of the budget on a short trip. Praha for example checks all your boxes but can be expensive if you don't find a decent priced flight. Other options could be Andalusia or even France for a weekend trip since transportation costs should be minimal

Ryanair and Easyjet fly to plenty of Italian cities, like Treviso near Venice.
