Necronomicon and Sierra Creep Night

Super Pinball: Behind the Mask for the SNES. It had such a disquieting atmosphere especially when I first played it at around 5 or 6 years old.

I saw this game in Nintendo Power and it scared the shit out of me.

Sierra's 3D Ultra Pinballs are my favorites.

The NASCAR and Thrillride ones, specially.

mainly because of the music, though

I absolutely loved this, especially the music. Those flashing effects were painful in 50hz though.
Every pinball game before this one used the top down view, where the entire playfield is literally a 2d background. This one was the first I played that actually tilted the table in perspective. It looked a lot less detailed due to no scrolling, but the multiball modes and the creepy as fuck atmosphere more than made up for it.

The multiball tunes were all so adrenaline-pumping.

Necronomicon did everything that Super Pinball did and turned it up by a couple dozen notches. They are so damn similar, that even the colour themes and the tables intended difficulties match.

Do you know why they are so damn familiar by the way? The exact same team did both games. They also did Super Pinball 2 on SNES and Last Gladiators on Saturn, which weren't so memorable.

As if there is any other answer.

Pro Pinball, I suppose. Though, I'm more of a fan of real pinball than pinball video games.

Nigga, is you on crack? The Samurai table alone was fucking awesome as shit. I can't believe how dirt cheap it is out in the wild. I love my copy.

I was actually quite shocked to find this game is nearly 20 years old

I played Necronomicon first, so Last Gladiators was just not as impressive afterwards.

I mean you can't exactly top Lovecraft-inspired live narrated tables themed around death cults and dream lands.

It's been remade in Future Pinball.
