Nightmare on Elm Street might be the best 4 player game on the NES

I think you can play two player Smash TV the proper way with 4 controllers on NES.

>4 player Wizardry clone

How the hell would that work? Wouldn't every player just be controlling their own little text menu every time there's a battle? How would movement work for a party if its just a single first person view?

my brain hurts

So effectively the same experience could be recreated with any wizardry game by just passing the controller between three other people?

I would say so, yes.

Its important to note also that each individual player has control over what they equip and how they level their character.
