Pokemon Towns and Cities Anonymous 05/14/14(Wed)00:38 UTC+1 No.1619794 Report

The question is this: you are able to live in any retro pokemon town or city. Which do you choose and why?
I chose Azalea Town - the perfectly quaint little village, isolated by caves on one side and an old forest on the the other. It always just seemed so cozy and restful to me. The same goes for the entire Johto region in fact.

I forget the name, but the Johto one with the lighthouse.
Nice beachside community.
Not too big, not too small.
Local qt gym leader to "train" with.

Ecruteak City.
Fuck yeah, ghosts
Fuck yeah, kimono girls
Fuck yeah, bug contests
Fuck yeah, smoking a joint with Morty.

As a kid I was obsessed with Cinnabar Island.I loved fire type pokemon, and I imagined they'd all be found there, and the only reason you couldn't in the game was due to limitations. Plus there was the neat Missingno. glitch which added some mystique, and the animé representation helped, since I thought volcanoes were badass.

Nowadays I can't stand humid summer weather as much and fire types aren't my absolute favorite, so a more temperate place would be nicer. I like city life, so someplace like Celadon or Goldenrod would be nice. Even though they were supposed to be big cities, they never felt like too busy and overwhelming.

Olivine city, anon.
I guess I'd choose Azalea, for the same reasons OP listed.

Part of me wants to believe all the cool people pass through Viridian on their way to the Indigo League. Living there, I could go chill out in the Forest, hike my way to Pewter City for a rare jelly donut, watch Prof. Oak fall asleep fishing, and maybe me and my Poke could surf around to Vermillion to avoid Mt. Moon.

Basically, I want Viridian to be cool, just like its music.

I have two choices because I'm in indecisive autist.

- Vermilion.
>Not too much going on.
>Cruise liner means upper class population
>Kick-ass shoreline.
>Pretty decent parks up north and >east.
>Diglett Cave for exploration and stuff.
>Pier further out east.
>Center of the region, everything is accessible.

-Cherrygrove
>Really out of the way.
>Quiet and peaceful place.
>Another kick-ass shoreline.
>Pretty decent selection of Pokemon available close-by.

tfw you'll never live in your PokeTown of choice. Life is truly suffering.

Either Saffron or Celadon. Saffron because it's got a fighting dojo for me to go get swole and the psychic gym has a qt gym leader. Celadon because I'd be buying shit from the big ass store every day.

We'll get our Altered States-style isolation vats with Oculus-brand headgear and pan-sensory output one day!

My alternate new home would be Violet City.

Too much competition, but if you somehow hit the lottery and got her, yeah it would be the ideal setup.

I guess Saffron because I can't stand the boonies anymore, Celadon has an arcade of sorts and I'd like to avoid that like the plague, and Sabrina.

Olivine would be pretty nice too. That little cafe, the farm to the north, ships coming and going.
