So here's a kickstarter project for a re-make of Chrono Trigger, seems legit. The guy has worked for square! (As MMO Beta tester)

Now correct me if I'm wrong though, but would this fall under profitting off of Square's license?

It's right near the end

>There was no clues as what to do at times and my character was very confused.
>You should never try to exactly do a character exact.
>I have had a great and awesome pleasure of working with Squaresoft company, now called Square-Enix. I worked for them as a beta tester for some of their MMORPG type games and came up with brilliant ideas for their MMORPG progressions.
>I am also a fan of Final Fantasy series.

>RPG Maker
>Be apart of a Chrono trigger legend
>some magna Artist look at the characters and story

RPG Maker and a guy who can't even write the text that is supposed to sell his game without mistakes like this.

I'm pretty sure that falls Squarely under profiting off of Square's license and is super not legal.
I'm also pretty sure this guy has absolutely no idea what he's doing.

Why aren't kickstarter URLs banned? Kickstarter posts are essentially spam.

Because there can be a legitimate interest to discuss them.
Filters aren't very effective either, if you want to get something removed you best report it yourself.

>Unmodified RPG Maker VX

Chrono Trigger fanbase in a nutshell.

What does he need the $700 for? It doesn't seem enough to buy the license or hire somebody competent.

The person is already deluded enough to think that his shitty RPG Maker project without a word of original code is something people would support monetarily and be hyped for while there are probably hundreds of CT fangames already going around, free and much better than his. I wouldn't put it past him to think that $700 is enough to pay a crew of professional developers, artists and to purchase the license.
