Look at that slick piece of art.

Elegantly designed, the company logos aren't intrusing the original art, only the game's title, on a bold, serious red tone stands there. No shiny effects, no bullshit, just the god damn title's logo on bold, thick red kanji.
No "collect'rs edition", no "E3 best nominee GOTY" bullshit, just the game's title.

Then the art. Look at it, I'd frame that thing.

You just don't see pieces of art like that anymore.

Believe it or not, I'd nominate this. While the story isn't complex, the mechanics a quite a thing. It may not win the most complex, but it's deeper than one would expect.

Heard Romancing SaGa has a complex leveling system. Basically like FF2 but way less horrible.
