Street fighter alpha anthology is really good! SFA3 is arcade port essentially so some may be dissatisfied with the results. i enjoyed it. but Hyper SFA is a cool thing. i hear the Darkstalkers collections is good as well.

No but we did get the 2000/2001 and 2002/2003 double packs while Japan had to buy each of those games separately

Dark Side Box, From Software released this only in japan, and it was right around the time the PS2 was really starting to die out in America If I remember straight. It included every one of the King's Field games, but in my opinion they could have gone an extra step forward to make it a $100-instant-buy value, by adding the two Shadow Tower games to the set. I already own all the games but it still makes me angry we never go it here.

Some greedy pole-smokers are asking $500 for these sets, and you'd need a Japanese system to play them naturally, I hate the market sometimes for the parasites it breeds.

Probably this, though the PS3 one is even better.

Honestly, the Collection we got kinda sucked. Loading times up the ass, and 98 was based of the MVS version so you could not play as Omega RUgal.

The Japan collection was more in line with those AOF and Fatal Fury collections we got. with color edits and arranged soundtracks.

Also. to stat on topic

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology

The Japan only Darkstalkers collection

Those Japan only Sega AGES collections past the awful 3D remake ones (The Phantasy star one even has the English versions and hacks to make the games a little easier)

Kirby's Dream Collection

Namco Museum 1-5 (And Encore but that's Japan only)

Namcollection (A Japan only PS2 collection of early PS1 Namco games)

I recently picked up Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol 2 because I heard the Real Bout Fatal Fury games are better than the original four, and holy fuck were those people ever right! Get this if you want something like Street Fighter 2 with an extra bit of depth, both figuratively and literally. I guess there are some extra features, but I'm too busy playing Real Bout Special to care.

Also, the Mega Man X Collection is not a bad way to go about introducing yourself to Mega Man X. It's annoying not being able to save part-way through the final stretch of X1, (haven't gotten around to the others because this is also a recent pick-up) so make sure you set aside some time when you go to fight Sigma. It's kind of a slog when you suck like I do.

In actuality, I have not played a Taito game since Bust-A-Move '99 on the PlayStation so this compilation slipped my mind.

The PS3 one has more roms, but in the end as long as this one has the ones you want it doesn't matter.
