In basic (US Army), not everyone was able to fire an AT4 (not enough to go around). So a couple guys were selected to fire the couple we were alotted.

Long story short, the firer skipped the rocket off the ground about 2/3rds of the distance from the target, it rebounded and arced downward landing directly on the top of the turret.

Twas the craziest accidental success I've ever seen.

That's not true at all. Most violent films are rated R for Restricted. People write articles on in the U.S. all the time about how violent video games are linked to murder and crime.

I mean did you see the last batman film? People had automatic guns yet they still fought with their fists.

Also you shouldn't talk about the x-rated content in the U.S.. We are one of the biggest consumers of pornography in the world.

Do you actually believe X-rated content is better than violence?

At least violence is fake, most of the violence in x-rated content is real. Slapping, pulling, puking. Its stuff that should be illegal.

WebM is filling a niche that never existed and enables idiots who think anything over 15 seconds ever needs to be turned into a low quality repeating image file as opposed to an actual video.

That's basically what a fuel air bomb is. Just a bunch of propellent ignited in a confined space above an enemy, it turns into a gigantic super heated fireball that burns everyone nearby to a crisp.

SFW means "Safe for work", meaning "you will not be automatically fired for having this on your monitor at your place of employment". It's not a strict rating system, it's not an ironclad set of rules, and the only commonly agreed upon provision it designates is "no porn". Hell, not even gore is NSFW under strictest terms, so long as A) it's not sexualized and B) your monitor isn't facing somebody likely to be offended or disgusted by it, like clientele. And just to prove how subjective the SFW/NSFW barrier is, Rule 0 is that "If your boss won't fire you for it, it's SFW.".

Seeing a helicopter get shot down is, while a waste of work time, not an egregious offense in and of itself, whereas sexually explicit material is tantamount to public lasciviousness, which is in fact a crime pretty much anywhere that has laws. Nice strawman with the 'puritanical' bit, though. Don't forget your fedora on the way out.

I'm not sure that's correct. The point of a thermobaric weapon is to produce a blast way, way bigger than a conventional bomb of the same size can produce by having the fuel disperse before ignition, causing the wave to travel through and ignite more fuel as it moves away from the center of the ignition point. The concept is basically how a sonic boom works, many smaller explosions being overlapped to produce an effect many times greater than their actual sum. There's not actually any incendiary effect; in fact if you blink you can miss that there was a flash of fire at all. It just looks like a conventional, if outrageously large, explosion of dust.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuGrDSP0rj8
Compare/contrast with actual incendiary weapons.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzCcBbP1VjA

Granted, the Russians recently had to wave their dicks around and apply what you said to a normal fuel-air weapon and call it the FOAB, which does the above while also producing a lasting fireball. That wouldn't surprise me if it were illegal, but it would surprise me if the Russians gave a shit.

do rockets have some kind of self destruction mechanism? i am no engineer or anything, but don't they explode rather quickly? or is it just that there are technical failures inside that does not affect the exterior before explosion?

Rockets are literally just a piece of metal riding an explosion. When everything works correctly, that explosion is controlled and focused out a little hole, called propulsion.
When things go wrong, that explosion is an explosion.

While rockets ARE fairly prone to randomly exploding on their own, most rocket explosions you see during launch are due to a self destruct mechanism. The idea is that blowing the thing up on the pad is much safer than having it fly around out-of control, so if something goes wrong then generally the range safety people will just blow it up before things get any worse.
